Heritage Craft Workshops
Bespoke workshops designed for your organisation and participants
We travel Scotland delivering workshops and talks for a range of organisations. Each is tailored to the age and ability of your participants for any group size. Please see below for a few examples of the workshops we've facilitated:
Case Study: Secondary School Heritage Demo Days
We've taken part in numerous demo days in secondary schools across Scotland for large volumes of students in the latter few years of school. Alongside other heritage craftspeople, students are split into groups and move around each work station so they can try out a variety of trades in a short space of time. There are usually 4-6 groups of 6-8 pupils at a time and each section is about 40-60 minutes long.
Women in Construction are a series of demo days specifically for young female students we have taken part in for several years. All of the demonstrators are also women and the environment is aimed at inspiring young women to pursue traditionally male dominated trade roles.
Workshop with five advanced higher art students from Perth High School organised with Perth Heritage
Painting letters with Perth High School
Case Study: Perth Heritage with Perth High School
This workshop was aimed at a small group of students entering their last year of secondary who have a particular interest in art or wish to pursue art/design as a career. The two day workshop covered all the basics of signwriting on the first day then the second was spent painting signs for a Bramblers cafe in Perth town centre. The students gained real life experience of a creative job, an example to use in future creative applications and a certificate from Perth Heritage.
